Impressionist painter Paul Gaugin through a musical celebration of
colorful slides and whimsical text on February 2, 2003 at Alex
Theatre in Glendale.
The music of Bruce
Adolphe (who also composed Tyrannosaurus Sue: A Cretaceous
Concerto performed at a LACO family concert last season) draws
you into thinking about color in painting and music. Slides of
Gauguin's paintings and live narration by Jeffrey Kahane will keep
you and the kids riveted.
Pre-concert
activities begin at 1pm includes "Instrument Petting Zoo" - kids get
to bang, pluck and blow on real instruments and Storytelling
by Denise Iketani.
